Piece-a-Kate is a vintage accessory brand, focusing on craftsmanship, quality and sustainability. Whether it’s genuine vintage or repurposed - you are sure to find a piece you love.

From reworking vintage glass beads from broken jewellery into new reimagined pieces, or upcycling forgotten textiles into fun statement hair accessories, I find the beauty in those pieces previously loved and turn them into beautiful wearable accessories to be cherished for another lifetime.

Meet Kate

“…everything I source, mend or up-cycle goes through my hands with a huge amount of love and care.”

I started Piece-a-Kate in lockdown as a way to have fun and share the gorgeous trinkets I found with the world. 

Originally a pattern maker in the fashion industry, I’ve always had a special interest in jewellery. After just two short courses in jewellery making, including silver clay and soldering, I knew I was in love! 

The name was chosen as everything I source, mend or up-cycle goes through my hands with a huge amount of love and care.

If I’m not treasure hunting for vintage and antique jewellery, I’m reworking pieces into my own unique accessories. I enjoy the rewarding nature of finding a beautiful piece with so much history and giving it a chance to be loved again.

My shop in Teddington is a place to get lost in a sea of gorgeous jewellery and accessories, with a chance to pick up a little piece of history, and give it a new story of your own.
